Deputies Film Bioluminescent Waves In Marina Del Rey

MARINA DEL REY, CA — Sheriff's deputies on patrol in Marina del Rey Harbor filmed their view of bioluminescent waves from the patrol boat. In a Facebook video shared by Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Marina del Rey Station last week, you can see the waves glowing in the harbor while the patrol unit sounds the siren.

Beaches are set to reopen Wednesday in Los Angeles County with limited restrictions and only for active use. Face coverings and social distancing are still required on the sand. Chairs, tanning, canopies, or large gatherings will all be off-limits, according to the Department of Beaches and Harbors.

Marina del Rey deputies encouraged people to continue social distancing and keeping physical distance. They also asked people to be careful about trails or parks as open spaces reopen, adding "be careful a lot of animals are out and about because the humans have been MIA."
